THE LEYEND OF THE ALLEY DEAD

Street April 2 in Oaxaca City is now a very busy way out of historical center. Before, during colonial times, a lot of streets in the city center were picturesque cobbled snaking towards the cerro del Fortín and Atoyac River. In times when electrical energy had not been installed in the city, roamend "The Serenos"; people who take care of the streets carrying a bluff and announcing in the stillness of the dark times and kept guarded neighborhoods of the population.
Near Basílica of the Soledad ran a serene in the middle of the night. He ran very fast, towarts the church of the Marquesado; moments before, a piercing scream broke the cold silence of the street April 2.

The shout of pain of a man filled the quiet atmosphere of the course. The swift and soundless passage of man coming down the alley seemed inmutar the environment.
Arriving at the church and knocked the priest appeared; the guy told him in the alley April 2 had been stabbed a man who lay dying and with the intention of giving his confession before leaving.

He led to the unfortunate priest is struggling between life and death with a large wound in the chest; The priest leaned over the wounded and heard a long and painful confession after acquit. At the end of the confession, he looked around at his companion but he
wasn´t there. It is said that curiosity lifted the lantern on the face of the dead then. He met with great surprise that the dead man was the same who had guided him to the place.
The priest returned to the parish prey of great fear and terror. Days later fell seriously sick and, when he revived, kept during his life time total deafness of hearing with which he listened to the penitent.
